Description

This freakishly-fruity delicious recipe for Witches Brew Mocktail drink is the perfect punch for any Halloween occasion or party. This family friendly drink recipe will delight your guests and set a spooky mood with the addition of a few dry ice pieces.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 8 ripe kiwifruit
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 2-liter bottle of ginger ale
  • 5 scoops of lime sherbet
  • 1 small block of dry ice

Instructions

  1. Make a simple syrup by placing the sugar and water into a small saucepan set over medium high heat, stirring occasionally. When the sugar has dissolved and the mixture comes to a boil, turn the heat off and set aside to cool.
  2. Peel and chop kiwifruit into quarters. Place fruit, mint leaves, and cooled simple syrup into a blender and run on high for about 1 minute.
  3. Pour blender contents into your desired serving bowl. Stir in the bottle of ginger ale. Add scoops of sherbet. Using tongs and heavy-duty gloves, break the block of dry ice into small pieces with a butter knife or the back of the tongs, being careful not to touch the dry ice with bare skin. Using the tongs, place ice chunks into witches brew and serve.

Notes

Make sure that you warn guests NOT to drink the dry ice.
