Description
A fun and cute idea for serving ripe melon at a birthday party, summer barbecue, Easter, or a picnic! These sweet and salty melon skewers can be simple enough for kids to enjoy, or make them sophisticated by adding prosciutto and a balsamic vinegar drizzle.

- 1 seedless ripe watermelon
- 2 honeydew melons
- 2 cantaloupe melons
- 1 12-oz. container of fresh mozzarella marinated in olive oil and herbs/spices
- wooden skewers
- optional: prosciutto, mint, and balsamic vinegar glaze to garnish
Instructions
- Slice each melon in half, scooping out and discarding all seeds in the honeydew and cantaloupe.
- Using a melon baller or small cookie scoop, scoop each type of melon into three separate serving bowls.
- Place alternating types of melon onto skewers, adding optional mozzarella ball and prosciutto slice if desired. Chill for 30 minutes before serving. Serve with optional dipping sauces or drizzle.
Notes
These melon fruit skewers will keep for a few hours, but are best served within an hour of making them.
