Hey there, thanks for checking out my recipes! I hope you find one two that you absolutely LOVE. So why do I blog? I share delicious recipes to help YOU become the best home cook possible, and in turn, enrich your life. (Plus it’s really fun too!) I really, really love eating amazing food, as long as it doesn’t have cilantro, raw tomatoes, or raw onions in it. Yep. That’s right. I admit it. And I still occasionally pick the crust off my bread. (Did I just share my deepest darkest secrets with the world?)
I’m a bucket list person, and close to the top has always been to become a great cook, even when I was a kid. From America’s Test Kitchen to the Cake Boss to the Pioneer Woman’s blog, learning how to be a great cook is easier than ever thanks to the internet. I have a firm belief that anyone can achieve anything that they set their heart on, with hard work, practice, and positive thinking. I’ve learned a lot with this attitude, and I want to share what I’ve learned with YOU. So, have fun clicking your way through my recipes! connecting with my readers is the very best part of being a blogger! So if you happen to re-create one of my dishes at home, PLEASE let me know how it turned out for you- I always respond :0)
As for personal stuff, I hail from the land of enchantment; New Mexico. After graduating high school, I went off to college in Idaho as an Illustration major. Then, realizing I didn’t want to make a career out of a hobby, I switched my major to something very similar; Geology! Haha :0) And I loved every minute of it. (Okay everything except the ‘all nighters’ I pulled for finals many a time.) I graduated with my bachelors degree in 2005 and worked as a GIS technician for a few years. I am now married and stay home with my three small children. I have many interests~ curling up with a great book, eating chocolate while curling up with a great book, exploring the mountains, totally ‘nerding out’ watching sci-fi and fantasy films, dreaming of traveling the world, painting, and tapping my toe to bluegrass music.
My faith is also an essential part of who I am. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served a mission in the Toronto Canada area from 2000 to 2002. I loved being able to serve the people there. I am so thankful for the life I’ve had and all that I’ve been able to learn and experience. I believe in living each day to its fullest and hope I can be a blessing in your life with the recipes I share! If you’re curious, check out Mormon.org.
