Why do people eat spicy food?
Some people LOVE spicy food, and some can’t handle the heat. Why is that??? Capsaicin, the chemical that produces the “heat” sensation in our mouths, can cause our bodies to release endorphins; generating happy feelings and a positive association. Step by Step instructions for Hatch Red Chile Barbecue Chicken Wings
Stir together flour and seasonings, then toss the wings in the mixture to thoroughly coat. Place on a prepared baking sheet (lined with parchment or silicone baking mat) and bake in the oven until crispy and lightly golden, about 45 minutes.
Remove, then toss the wings in the Sweet and Spicy Hatch Chile BBQ Sauce. Place wings back on the baking sheet and into the oven for another 8-10 minutes. Remove and serve warm, with optional dipping sauce recipe below.
