Like many of you out there, I have set some personal health goals for the new year. And if you know anything about me, you know that I have a major sweet tooth. I am bit concerned it may sabotage my efforts… however, I have come up with some great recipes I thought I’d share that help satisfy the sweet tooth cravings without compromising on those healthy goals. Today I’m sharing Simple and Healthy Raspberry Sorbet.

Created with frozen fruit, juice, cinnamon and vanilla, these simple flavors combine to create a great healthier alternative dessert. Here’s a fun fact: Did you know that Cinnamon helps regulate your blood sugar levels? Now you have more than one reason to love cinnamon besides its’ amazing flavor!

Simple and Healthy Raspberry Sorbet- The Goldilocks Kitchen

This recipe for Simple and Healthy Raspberry Sorbet is so easy. Just place some frozen raspberries in a blender with a few tablespoons of apple juice or orange juice and a bit of cinnamon and vanilla. Blend it all together and you have a dessert your sweet tooth will love without compromising on your daily calorie goals! The garnishes aren’t necessary, but they add some major WOW factor when you present this dessert to family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of frozen raspberries
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice (or apple juice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • (optional) Garnish with fresh mint leaves or orange zest

Instructions

  1. Blend the fruit, juice, cinnamon and vanilla in a blender until smooth. You may need to stop and scrape the sides once with a spatula. Serve immediately.

  1. I am definitely going to try this…..I have to eat dessert after dinner….because I have a sweet tooth too…and this one sounds delicious and healthy without an enormous amount of calories….Thanks for sharing.
