Cinnamon Buttercream Icing
This Cinnamon Buttercream Icing has the perfect amount of sweetness and spice.
Cinnamon Buttercream Icing will be your new go-to fluffy icing for any fall/holiday cake or cupcakes. It works great with Apple Cinnamon Cupcakes, but it’s also great for just about any cake flavor such as vanilla, chocolate, pumpkin, or coffee cake! It has the perfect amount of cinnamon that’s not overpowering, and it whips up to a fluffy yet stable consistency perfect for piping!
It’s a cinch to whip up a batch of Cinnamon Buttercream Icing; you don’t even need to be too fussy about adding the ingredients one at a time. I add them all in and just start the beater out slow to keep from blowing confectioner’s sugar dust everywhere. Eventually all the ingredients will come together and you can beat it at high speed without any problems and it should fluff right up after two or three minutes.
I like that this recipe also includes a few tablespoons of heavy cream along with the butter, sugar cinnamon and vanilla. I think the cream really gives this icing a silky texture while thinning it just enough so it will whip up very fluffy and light.
Stuff this Cinnamon Buttercream Icing in a piping bag and go to town making some stinkin’ cute cupcakes! It’s absolutely delicious; I dare you to keep from licking those beaters when you’re done :0)
